Exploring Computer Science (ECS) is a year-long, research-based, high school intro-level computer science curriculum that focuses on broadening participation in computing. By the end of the school year, students taking this class will be able to:

  • Understand human-computer interaction.

  • Understand problem-solving and improve problem-solving skills.

  • Expand their knowledge of web design and design web pages.

  • Introduce some basic issues associated with program design and development.

  • Explore how computing has facilitated new methods of managing and interpreting data.
